Hi what do you guys recommend for a din mount 1 phase changeover switch to fit in a domestic switch board and still be able to close the sb door.

Largely depends on what load you want to switch; and whether you need full isolation of the open circuit.

Hager make changeover switches based on normal MCB packing which also include aome multi-pole changeover devices which are required for the connection of a portable generting set to an electricl installation.

I've struck this before.

It depends what you're after (single or three phase).

Three-phase changeover switches (din-rail mount) are big and bulky and normally come with a big handle, so they won't work in most domestic switchboards, eg PDL DBF series.

I've had to install a combined 100a changeover switch and inlet enclosure and mount it next to the switchboard, with flexible conduit going into the back of it. This was for a 3-phase generator.
