Posted By Topic: Hot Water Booster Switch

Mar 28 2018 13:19

About to do a kitchen upgrade and noticed that the customer had a HWC \"booster\" switch at the MSB which when switched on, bypasses the ripple and directly feeds the HWC from the uncontrolled line. If I upgrade the MSB, do I have to remove this? I\'m thinking, Yes and if he wants a boost on the HWC during the day, he needs to arrange this with the retailer via the ripple controller. Thoughts please.

Customer will almost certainly be in breach of their contract for supply of electricity.

The discounted rate for controlled water heating is based on the control being effective.
