Hi all.

Interested in the thoughts of those that know the ins and outs of the Act and Regs/

Can home owners who happen to also be registered electrical workers make use of the home owners exceptions for

- Not requiring certification
- Not requiring a current PL
- Working beyond scope of registration

I understand the "not working for profit or reward" provisions have gone from the act, which basically leaves working as a registered worker (or under supervision thereof), or working as a home owner. I have heard that once you are a registered worker you cant use the homeowners provisions but I'm not sure why not.

Thoughts?

Of course they can.
But in doing so they must follow all the associated "Ts 7 Cs) that apply, so will need an Inspector to check, certify, and connect.
So; not much point, really
